Workshop 1: Short Story Essentials. Saturday 16 March. Have you ever wanted to enter a short story competition, and win? Learn the art of crafting compelling tales and the key elements that make short stories shine with practical writing exercises and feedback.
Workshop 2: Writing for Children. Saturday 20 April. From picture books to middle-grade novels, delve into creating captivating characters, structuring stories, and navigating the publishing process in children’s literature.
Workshop 3: Effective Editing. Saturday 18 May. In the final workshop of the series, learn (or brush up on) the fundamentals of self-editing and how to cut and shape your story into a polished piece of writing.
The Boronggook Drysdale Library building, opened in April 2023, features communal spaces, quiet study areas, an adult changing places facility, a green roof, an internal courtyard garden, a City of Greater Geelong customer service point and resource-efficient systems. The sustainable building is a welcoming and safe space open to all.
