Do you remember when humans first set foot upon the moon? On the 20th of July, 1969 the Apollo 11 astronauts landed on the moon. Join us to revisit this amazing event.

You and your family can enjoy watching some of the original footage of the moon landing, take part in making Moon Calendars and Pocket Sized Solar Systems (with the help of the Astronomical Society of Victoria), and see a life-sized replica of the lunar module (weather permitting).

About the Library

The Boronggook Drysdale Library building, opened in April 2023, features communal spaces, quiet study areas, an adult changing places facility, a green roof, an internal courtyard garden, a City of Greater Geelong customer service point and resource-efficient systems. The sustainable building is a welcoming and safe space open to all.
