Boronggook Drysdale Library
Boronggook Drysdale Multipurpose RoomWho has time to write a novel? Flash fiction is perfect to try some writing and have it be read by an audience. Join us to write, prepare and share your own flash fiction.
Everyone wants to be a writer! But who has time to write a novel? And who wants to dedicate a year of their life to crafting something that may never be read? Flash fiction is the perfect form to try some writing, get a piece completed, and have it be read by an audience.
In three workshops, participants will "write", "prepare" and "share" flash fiction.
The Write Flash Fiction workshop, on Friday 23 August, will introduce what flash fiction is, how to write it, and give participants time to write a piece of flash fiction.
Prepare Flash Fiction, on Friday 30 August, will explain the ways flash fiction is consumed and how to refine your piece, get it ready for submission to competitions and magazines, or how to prepare it for printing and handing out to friends.
Share Flash Fiction, on Friday 6 September, will give participants an opportunity to read out their own flash fiction and hear others read theirs. Participants will receive a handmade copy of the anthology, made up of pieces created in the first session.
