Beth is passionate about restoring local ecosystems and preventing local extinction. She will be sharing her knowledge on subjects including biodiversity, indigenous plants and grasslands.
Beth will share her expertise in plant identification, vegetation management, ecology and weed control within the wider community. Her expertise in the environment comes from 30 plus years of teaching in biology, conservation and horticulture. She has a background in farming and is an active volunteer in environmental organisations such as the Bellarine Landcare Group, Friends of Ocean Grove Nature Reserve and a member of the Geelong Field naturalists and Friends of Edwards Point. Beth helps manage the Bellarine Secondary College Landcare Nursery.
This modern, welcoming library provides invaluable community space and library services to the area. The branch features zones for children and young people, study and reading spaces, an outdoor courtyard and meeting rooms for community hire. Regular Baby, Toddler and Preschool Story Time sessions are held here, as well as events and programs for adults taking place throughout the year.
