*ONLINE* Introduction to board game design part 1
Tuesday, November 10
12:00pm - 1:00pm
Board games have been bringing people together to compete, defeat, co-operate and collaborate for decades. Join us in these online sessions to explore the basics of modern board game design.
Board game enthusiasts have a long tradition of creating and designing new games which became community favourites. In these two sessions we’ll be looking at different approaches to board game design, board game mechanics, themes, and psychology.
While the sessions cover different topics, attendance at the first is not a prerequisite for the second.
What to expect:
- This is an interactive presentation led by a library staff member for up to 20 participants.
- You will learn about different ways of looking at board game design, as well as some of the things that can drive a board game, such as mechanics, themes, and psychology.
- These sessions two may be attended separately or together.
