Do you want to learn how to identify false information online? Based on the ABC docuseries, 'The Matter of Facts' join Geelong Regional Libraries for this free workshop on mis and dis-information.

The Matter of Facts Workshop: Equipping communities to better identify false information.

What to expect:

  • Drawing on engaging video clips from the ABC series 'The Matter of Facts' and other media, this interactive workshop is designed to equip communities to better identify false information online. 
  • Through group discussions and activities, you will learn about mis- and dis-information, how to spot fake news and tips for fact checking.
  • Refreshments provided.

About the Library

The Queenscliff Library is housed in a beautiful heritage building, built in 1887, and services the Queenscliff and Point Lonsdale communities, as well as holidaymakers. Located in the main street of this picturesque coastal village, the branch is a small but much-loved community space. Located next to the Visitor Information Centre and Queenscliffe Historical Museum, the library features public access PCs, free WiFi, study spaces and a large reading room. Regular Preschool Story Time sessions are held here.
