Please join Belmont Library Officer, Stacey Birch, for a talk about her amazing journey to the continent of Antarctica.
Stacey will talk about her motivation for travelling to Antarctica, by what means she traveled, and what she saw, learnt, and experienced along the way. Stacey will also show some truly stunning photos of the land and the wildlife, and share some funny anecdotes from her journey. Don't miss this wonderful armchair travel event!
Following a proud library tradition in Belmont which started in 1885, the current library is nestled in the popular High Street shopping precinct. The branch features comfortable zones for study and reading, an outdoor courtyard, a range of accessibility features, many public access PCs, a genealogy PC and an Apple iMac computer. Regular Baby, Toddler and Preschool Story Time sessions are held here. A large meeting room is available for community hire, and a City of Greater Geelong Customer Service Centre is also located within the library.
