Draw and paint your own colouring in poster with artist Lara Davies. Share your experience of the pandemic by exploring the plants, buildings and objects that filled your world during lockdown.

During this workshop, artist and educator Lara Davies will use the visual exploration of each participant’s unique home “5k's” to help them record the natural, built, and social world around them. Using drawing, tracing, painting, and illustrative techniques, it is an opportunity for participants to create a colouring in poster and explore all that one learns to appreciate about their immediate environment and the things that brought happiness in difficult times. In partnership with Deans Marsh SPARK!

Lara Davies originally studied a B.A of Fine Art at RMIT university, studying in the Drawing Department of the Art School. She likes to draw, paint, take photos, design prints and teach art. For the past 13 years she has been teaching people drawing, textile design and screen printing as one half of Home-Work.

**Created works will be exhibited, photographed, and digitised images uploaded to the Geelong Regional Libraries website.

Event attendees will need to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or valid medical exemption upon entry. Thanks for doing your bit to keep our community safe.

The Creative Collective Memory Arts project is funded through the Libraries for Health and Wellbeing Program; an initiative of State Library Victoria (for the Library Board of Victoria) and Public Libraries Victoria under the banner of the Statewide Public Library Development Projects 2020 – 2023
