What is mental health? How do we look after it and how do we talk about it with our young people?
Come along and hear from a representative from headspace Geelong to learn about what headspace does to support young people and their families in the Geelong region. Learn about the mental health continuum, how to open up the conversation and what you can do to support your young person to look after their mental health. In this session you will also hear from a young person from headspace Geelong’s Youth Futures Crew and a parent from the headspace National Family Reference Group.

Newcomb Library is a popular community gathering space and is situated within a busy shopping precinct. The branch features a range of services and facilities including public access PCs, free WiFi, zones for reading, study and working, and a large meeting room available for community hire. Regular Baby, Toddler and Preschool Story Time sessions are held here, and events and lifelong learning programs for adults are run throughout the year.
