Ever wondered how a map is made? Come along and meet The Accidental Map Maker - Melinda Clarke. Melinda is the founder and producer of City Maps Illustrated and publisher of the famous Melbourne Map.
Melinda is the founder and producer of City Maps Illustrated and published her first Melbourne Map in 1990. Twenty-five years later, she returned to her love of creating and publishing detailed illustrated maps and, together with a small team of artists, produced a brand-new Melbourne Map. Being a long-time resident of The Bellarine, she went on to produce The Bellarine and Portarlington maps. Melinda enjoys sharing stories of the four-year process of completing each project and encouraging the next generation of map-makers.
Maps and puzzles will be available for sale at the event.

The Boronggook Drysdale Library building, opened in April 2023, features communal spaces, quiet study areas, an adult changing places facility, a green roof, an internal courtyard garden, a City of Greater Geelong customer service point and resource-efficient systems. The sustainable building is a welcoming and safe space open to all.
