Local Word Writers Festival is an annual three-day event of local writers presenting workshops, presentations and panel discussions for writers and readers.
Led by Christine Croyden, participants in this workshop will begin to develop the craft of writing for theatre, including building their ability to use structure, style and narrative and exploring the ways in which character and dialogue support ideas. Participants will be able to identify their individual voice and create original work that resonates with an audience.
Christine Croyden is a playwright, lyricist, teaching artist and novelist. She has taught at NIDA and various other places over many years. She particularly enjoys running groups for older people who are interested in theatre and want to tell stories on stage.
Up to 15 participants aged 18+. For those who are interested in developing compelling characters for stage, but also useful for fiction writers and other forms of writing.
Tickets $30pp OR $20pp for library members (free to join) OR $10 for concession holders.
