Youth Space

A free legal education session for youth on your right to protest!

Have you ever attended a protest before? Or are you interested in attending one?

This free 30 minute session will teach you about your right to protest, including:

  • What is protesting and why do people protest?
  • How is the right to protest supported or restricted?
  • Context: protests in history and now
  • Protest starter pack
  • How to handle interactions with police

This session is hosted by Naarm Law Students, a collective of law students from the University of Melbourne dedicated to providing free community legal education on issues that disproportionately affect young people. We hope to empower you as a young person to understand your rights and know how to assert them!

Follow Naarm Law Students for more information about how the law impacts you!
