Sacha Dench – paramotorist who followed the flight path of swans across the Arctic tundra, based in the UK

Alida Soemawinata – helicopter pilot who delivers medical aid to remote villages, based in Borneo

Heather Swan – world record–breaking BASE jumper and wingsuit pilot, based in Yackandandah, VIC 

Catherine Conway – glider pilot, adopted at birth she later found out her biological family were also pilots, based in South Australia

Stef Walter – mental-health worker who wingwalked on a flying plane to show the benefits of facing challenges head on, based in Ballarat, VIC

Kirsten Seeto – lives in a mountainside tiny house where she paraglides alongside eagles, based in Bright, VIC

Emma McDonald – diesel fitter turned performing aerobatic pilot, based in Lake Macquarie, NSW

About the Library

Library services first began in Belmont in 1885. Our current library was officially opened on 28 October 1982 by the Hon FN Wilkes MP, Minister for Local Government and his Worship the Mayor, Cr PF Ward JP. The building was renovated in 2010 making it a modern, pleasing and community-centric library environment. The renovated library was officially opened by the Hon Richard Wynne MP, Minister for Local Government. Belmont Library is a large and busy hub within easy reach of the High Street commercial precinct.
