Join internationally bestselling author Isobelle Carmody, who will talk about and read from her newly released YA novel Comes the Night.

Will lives with his father in a future domed Canberra where citizens are safe from extreme weather events, dangerous solar radiation and civil unrest. He does not question his carefully controlled existence until the recurrence of an old nightmare propels him on a dangerous quest.

Comes the Night is a superb YA fantasy set in the near future, full of secrets, high stakes, peril, deceptions and dreamwalkers from the internationally acclaimed and best selling author of The Obernewtyn Chronicles and The Gathering.

Isobelle Carmody grew up the eldest of eight. When left to babysit she would entertain her younger siblings with oral story-telling as a way of maintaining some semblance of order. It’s safe to say Isobelle has had an extensive career in holding an audience’s attention and she has won an embarrassment of awards doing just that and she has published over forty books. Though much of Isobelle’s work falls under the YA category, she writes with the intent to attract anyone and everyone with something emotionally engaging and thought provoking.
