Let your feelings flow onto the page with a series of hands-on writing activities that use poetry as personal catharsis.
Megan J Riedl will guide you through a generative writing prompts that explore several poetic styles and techniques that can help you hone a personal piece of journalling into a dynamic poem. Then, get crafty with a an exploration of found poetry forms like blackout and erasure. The final part of the workshop focuses invites participants to bear witness each other’s writing, experimenting with structure, dynamics and rhythm in the delivery of our poems from the heart.
About the presenter
A professional wordsmith, prolific creative, super solo mum and autistic woman, Megan J Riedl is an award-winning spoken word poet and feels out loud in a range of mediums including collage, zines, theatre and podcasting.
Combining the personal and political, Megan leads by example in standing up, showing up and speaking up, sharing the messy, human experiences that often go unspoken.
