Wear it Purple Day is an annual day of significance in Australia, dedicated to celebrating and supporting LGBTIQA+ young people. By wearing purple and taking part, we show that everyone deserves to be proud of who they are and feel safe, supported, and included.

The Lara Library is conveniently located next to Austin Park, in a central community hub shared with the Maternal Child Health Centre, Lara Kindergarten and Lara Community Centre. The branch features zones for children and young people, study and reading areas, public access PCs, free WiFi and two Apple iMac computers. Regular Baby, Toddler and Preschool Story Time sessions are held here, and events and programs for adults are also run throughout the year.
