Move your body and play games in this active session. Learn how to stay safe and be a good sport. Recommended age: 5-8
What to expect:
- This is a school holiday program facilitated by a library staff member with a maximum group size of 15-20.
- This is a very active session that involves a lot of movement games such as running, jumping, balancing and tossing. Participants will assess how they feel before and after being active by completing a visual chart.
- Participants will also play some warm-up activities, sing songs and learn about playing fairly.
- Hand out sheets about healthy living will be provided to take home.
Bookings and supervision:
- Children must be supervised by a responsible person (adult or carer) in our libraries and our programs.
- Bookings are recommended to save your place in the program.
- Please cancel your booking if you are no longer able to attend so we can contact our waitlist.
- Bookings close one day prior to the session.

Lara Library
The Lara Library is conveniently located next to Austin Park, in a central community hub shared with the Maternal Child Health Centre, Lara Kindergarten and Lara Community Centre. The branch features zones for children and young people, study and reading areas, public access PCs, free WiFi and two Apple iMac computers. Regular Baby, Toddler and Preschool Story Time sessions are held here, and events and programs for adults are also run throughout the year.
