Ever wanted to know more about the birds in your neighbourhood? In this interactive workshop, with Kirsty Costa you will learn about Australian birds and get some advice about birdwatching.

Ever wanted to know more about the birds in your neighbourhood? In this interactive workshop, you will learn about Australian birds and get some advice about birdwatching. Kirsty Costa, host of Weekend Birder, will share how she created one of Australia's most popular nature podcasts, fun facts about Victorian birds and how you can identify them using free apps on your phone.

Weekend Birder was created to celebrate the joy of noticing, the beauty of wild birds, and the power of sharing nature with others. Its mission is to make birdwatching accessible, joyful and welcoming for everyone - no matter who you are or where you're starting from. Through Weekend Birder, Kirsty helps others discover the magic of birdwatching with practical tips, podcast conversations and creative how-tos.

This project has been supported by a City of Greater Geelong Positive Ageing Grant.
