How does an author go from being a geologist to writing murder mysteries set on the Bellarine Peninsula? Come along to meet local author Rick Wilkinson who has done just that!

Rick describes his journey beginning as an Australian geologist, moving to become an energy correspondent for magazines and newspapers in London and Melbourne and then an author of books for both children and adults on history, natural history, sport and travel to most recently a series of murder mystery novels set on the Bellarine Peninsula.

About the Library

The Boronggook Drysdale Library building, opened in April 2023, features communal spaces, quiet study areas, an adult changing places facility, a green roof, an internal courtyard garden, a City of Greater Geelong customer service point and resource-efficient systems. The sustainable building is a welcoming and safe space open to all.
