Join us this Seniors Festival for a free information session from Elder Rights Australia on aged care rights, advocacy, elder abuse prevention, and the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme.

As part of the Seniors Festival, Geelong Regional Library Corporation is proud to host this free community information session delivered by Elder Rights Australia (ERA), a leading advocacy organisation supporting older people across Victoria.

ERA is a founding member of the Older Persons? Advocacy Network (OPAN) and delivers the National Aged Care Advocacy Program (NACAP) and the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS).

This session will explore:

- The value of advocacy and how to access it
- Understanding your rights in aged care
- Navigating the aged care system with confidence
- Recognising and responding to elder abuse
- Opportunities to connect through the Volunteer Visitors Scheme

Whether you're an older person, carer, service provider or community member, this session will provide practical knowledge to help you or someone you support feel informed, empowered, and connected.
