Discover the art of hand embroidery with a skilled member of the Geelong Embroiderers Guild.
These welcoming, hands-on sessions will guide you through essential stitches and techniques, helping you build confidence as you create beautifully detailed designs.
In the first workshop, you’ll learn chain stitch and French knots to craft charming daisy motifs. Each month introduces new skills and builds on what you’ve learned, and participants are welcome to join at any stage.
Basic materials will be provided, and you’re encouraged to bring any supplies you already own. You’re also welcome to bring along any project you’ve started and would like support with.
Come along, get creative, and enjoy learning a timeless craft in a relaxed and inspiring environment.

Waurn Ponds Library is located next to LeisureLink aquatic and fitness centre, over the road from Waurn Ponds Shopping Centre. The modern building features a children’s area on the ground floor with a semi-outdoor reading deck and family room. The first floor offers flexible areas for reading and study, and large non-fiction and young adult collections. Other features include public access PCs, free WiFi, coffee and vending machines, and a meeting room for community hire. Regular Baby, Toddler and Preschool Story Time sessions are held here.
