Join us for a fun-filled interactive session of songs and rhymes for babies and carers.

What to expect:

  • Baby time is an interactive session with music and movement. Parents are encouraged to talk, play, sing and read with their babies.
  • The program is facilitated by a library staff member and rattles and scarves are supplied.
  • At Lara Library the group size can vary between 5 and 25 children, depending on who turns up on the day.
  • The content is designed for babies but other young children are welcome. 

Bookings and supervision:

  • Bookings are not required – you are welcome to drop in on the day!
  • Children must be supervised by a responsible person (adult or carer) in our libraries and our programs.

About the Library

The Lara Library is conveniently located next to Austin Park, in a central community hub shared with the Maternal Child Health Centre, Lara Kindergarten and Lara Community Centre. The branch features zones for children and young people, study and reading areas, public access PCs, free WiFi and two Apple iMac computers. Regular Baby, Toddler and Preschool Story Time sessions are held here, and events and programs for adults are also run throughout the year.
