Pathways to Publishing will provide a ground-up model of how book publishing works - both creatively and commercially.

For writers ‘the book’ remains the Holy Grail and is its own triumph and trophy. The light at the end of the Carpal tunnel you might say! Writers of all disciplines dream of the day they will hold their own book in their hands. But what exactly is involved in getting to that moment? What are the working components of that dream?

It doesn’t matter whether you are writing a novel, biography, children’s story, cookbook or popular psychology book, if you’re interested in publishing your book, it's of great importance to understand all the layers to the process and to have a strategy ready - because no matter how your book is published, it is going to be you who has to sell it.

Participants are requested to submit 150 words outlining their project in advance to events@grlc.vic.gov.au

Please note: Places are extremely limited and there is a $10pp registration fee for this event. If you are unable to attend for any reason please let us know at least 24 hours in advance and we will cancel your place and refund your registration fee. We will send a reminder text for this event the day before the workshop.
