Bookings essential as places are strictly limited. 

  • All family members over 12 months of age require a separate booking, including adults. 
  • Where possible, please limit your family/group to one adult plus children, so that as many of our community as possible can attend these sessions.
  • Please follow the current government directives regarding face coverings. 
  • Families are asked to follow library staff directions and practice physical distancing.
  • Please cancel your booking if anyone in their group is unwell on the day of the program.

Bookings close one day prior to the session. If you require assistance to make a booking or cancellation, please contact library staff.

About the Library

The Lara Library is conveniently located next to Austin Park, in a central community hub shared with the Maternal Child Health Centre, Lara Kindergarten and Lara Community Centre. The branch features zones for children and young people, study and reading areas, public access PCs, free WiFi and two Apple iMac computers. Regular Baby, Toddler and Preschool Story Time sessions are held here, and events and programs for adults are also run throughout the year.
