This workshop will focus on the importance of creating and building connected relationships with our children to help build their resilience and independence. Although the practical ideas presented in this workshop may seem simple and obvious, they are not simplistic. We all know the importance of building relationships with our children; however, this is an opportunity to serve as a reminder of how to connect with them. This workshop will contain simple, practical, down-to-earth ways for parents to connect with their children.

Located in Torquay’s Surf City Plaza, adjacent to the Surf World Museum and Community Hall, Torquay Library is a popular community gathering space, particularly for families and holidaymakers. The branch features zones for reading, studying and working, a dedicated area for children, public access PCs and free WiFi. Regular Baby, Toddler and Preschool Story Time sessions are held here, and many events and programs for adults are also run throughout the year.
