How do we find where we are? With maps of course! Join us to discover how maps work. This is part of the Geelong Regional Libraries "STEAM into the Library" program. Age: 3-5

This session is part of a four week preschool program linking children’s fiction to STEAM concepts and activities. This sessions focuses on maps. Maps are help us find our way in the world. This could mean a street map to help us get around our city or help a pirate find where treasure is buried.

Bookings are essential to save your place within the program.

Please be sure to -

  • Make a booking for every person over 12 months of age attending (including accompanying adults).
  • Follow the current COVID government directives.
  • Cancel your booking if anyone in your group is unwell on the day of the program or if you can no longer attend so we can contact our waitlist.

About the Library

The Lara Library is conveniently located next to Austin Park, in a central community hub shared with the Maternal Child Health Centre, Lara Kindergarten and Lara Community Centre. The branch features zones for children and young people, study and reading areas, public access PCs, free WiFi and two Apple iMac computers. Regular Baby, Toddler and Preschool Story Time sessions are held here, and events and programs for adults are also run throughout the year.
