This exhibition about the Geelong Ladies Reading Circle shares minute books and memorabilia from this significant group.
The Geelong Ladies Reading Circle met for the first time in 1907. Throughout the 1900s, members of the Circle met monthly to discuss novels; poetry; history; essays; biographies; and travel writing. The minute books and memorabilia reveal how women’s reading practices in Geelong have changed over time.
