Terang-based author Jim McIntyre joins us to talk about his book - and the even more remarkable story behind the book!
Join us for a talk with local writer Jim McIntyre. His debut novel, Nikolai the Perfect, thirty years in the writing, was Equal Runner Up in the 2015 Victorian Premier's Unpublished Manuscript Award (to Jane Harper for The Dry).
Set in Russia, Melbourne, and the Dandenongs, and drawing on his five years living in Moscow in the aftermath of communism's collapse, Nikolai the Perfect was twice nominated in The Age survey of Australian writers' Top Ten reads for 2020.
Award-winning author Bram Presser has described it as "striking in its lyrical beauty . . . a truly marvellous novel".
