Take a guided walking tour into the past at the Geelong Eastern Cemetery this History Month.
Let notable figures from Geelong's past, Charles Brownlow and Godfrey Hirst, guide you through the historical sections of the Geelong Eastern Cemetery. Visit the graves of many of Geelong's influential people, learn their stories, and allow your authentically costumed tour guides transport you back in time!
The walking tour will commence at the main entrance of the Geelong Eastern Cemetery, 141 Ormond Road, East Geelong.
The tour is suitable for a range of ages, however children must be accompanied by an adult. Please note that a fair amount of walking is required and the Tour is within the old sections of the cemetery, on a range of different surfaces including grass and gravel which may be uneven and have restricted wheelchair access on some pathways. As this Tour is performed outside, it is recommended to dress for the forecasted weather and if needed, bring your own umbrella.
