Vikki Petraitis - Writing Crime Workshop

Vikki will explore every aspect of crime writing in this workshop and pass on some of her best tips and tricks from a lifetime of writing crime.

A crime story or novel needs meticulous planning. From victim to villain, plotting, red herrings, and misdirection, to writing a satisfying conclusion.

Vikki will share some helpful writing strategies to guide participants on their writing journey, including tips on plotting, setting, and character. Tap into your inner crime writer with this three-hour workshop which will help you get started, or if you’re already on your way, help you refine your story. At her workshops, Vikki distributes handy booklets to prompt deeper reflections on writing, and teaches people how to solidify their ideas.

Award winning author and podcaster Vikki Petraitis has been writing in the crime genre for over thirty years, and her podcasts have been downloaded millions of times. She brings a wealth of knowledge to her workshops, whether you are interested in writing true crime or fiction.  

This three hour workshop will include a short break. Tea and coffee will be provided.

Tickets $30pp OR $20pp for GRLC Members (free to join) OR $10 for Concession holders.
