Have you ever wondered about the history and cultural significance of First Nations' Storytelling? Come along and immerse yourself in some of the oldest stories told.
Stories are our First Nations' Australian songlines. Many First Nations' people use stories as a way to convey a message - it is the "beating heart" of culture and it is the primary way that history and culture has been preserved, Stories are a way for people to convey their experiences and knowledge in a way that is consumable for the individuals that have never experienced them. This talk will show the appreciation of First Nations' Stories and Authors, the work they have done and the importance of these stories being told. If you have any questions you want to ask then feel free to come in.
This program will be facilitated by Kalarni Murray an Anaiwan and Barkindji woman who has immersed herself into the world of First Nations' knowledge and artwork. She is currently studying a Graduate Diploma of Indigenous Research, and using creative forms of the written word and visual art in a new form of academic writing.
