Local Word Writers Festival is an annual three-day event of local writers presenting workshops, presentations and panel discussions for writers and readers.
Despite its phenomenal growth and increasing global popularity, the self-care genre has sometimes been maligned by traditional publishers and other authors. These days however, it is unembarrassed and wholly transformed into a category killer. But what’s involved in writing a self-help book, who can it help and how does one begin?
Hear from these local authors who have achieved success in publishing their own self-help books, and learn from their personal experiences in writing books that empower, inspire, and aid individuals in their personal and professional journeys.
Justine Martin is a contributing author and compiler/editor of a series of motivational and inspirational books, including most recently Whispers of Resilience, Our Stories of Multiple Sclerosis; Sue Wong is a career educator in wellbeing education and growth coaching and the co-author of My Manifesto; and Rosanne Michie is a writer, former newspaper columnist, broadcaster and author of Change Your Life in 10 Mins - How aiming low can give you a high! This panel discussion will be led by local author Fiona Lowe.
Tickets $20pp OR $10pp for library members (free to join).
