Interactive exhibition for children and families

Discover the Secret World of Food at your local library! Join us for an exciting and interactive exhibition hosted by the City of Greater Geelong.

The Secret World of Food is designed to spark curiosity and build children's understanding of food in an enjoyable and immersive way.

The interactive display includes a range of items for children to play with and explore, from a vegetable garden made of felt, to a pretend shop, toy kitchen, and fun activities.

Children will get to play their way through:

• Picking vegetables from a farm
• Taking them to market
• Cooking them
• Composting the scraps.

Parents and caregivers can pick up practical tips on making healthy eating easy and enjoyable at home.

Each stage of the Secret World of Food explores a different part of the food system in a way that young kids and their families can grasp – literally!
