Interactive play story time

Connect in this energetic story time where stories come to life through movement and play! Swish, splash and tiptoe through 'We?re Going on a Bear Hunt' and more. Recommended age: Preschool
What to expect:
- This is a school holiday program for preschool aged children facilitated by a library staff member with an expected group size of 10-30.
- It will be an interactive play session with multiple stories, songs and movement. We will be telling stories like ‘Going on a bear hunt’ and singing songs using body movement prompts like jumping, clapping, spinning and balancing
- Children are invited to join in with actions, sing along, and read together with a parent or carer.
- It will include a craft activity related to the stories told in the session.
Bookings and supervision:
- Children under 12 years must be supervised by a responsible person (adult or carer) in our libraries and our programs.
- Bookings are not required, feel free to drop in on the day.

Belmont Library
Library services first began in Belmont in 1885. Our current library was officially opened on 28 October 1982 by the Hon FN Wilkes MP, Minister for Local Government and his Worship the Mayor, Cr PF Ward JP. The building was renovated in 2010 making it a modern, pleasing and community-centric library environment. The renovated library was officially opened by the Hon Richard Wynne MP, Minister for Local Government. Belmont Library is a large and busy hub within easy reach of the High Street commercial precinct.
