Create your own upcycled fabric badges to personalise your tote, tee or hoodie! Learn simple sewing and creative techniques while repurposing old clothes. No experience needed. Recommended ages: 12-18
What to expect:
- This is a school holiday program facilitated by a library staff member with a maximum group size of 10.
- In the session you will get to put your creative skills into practice by making and decorating a fabric badge out of recycled material.
- All sewing levels welcome. We will teach simple sewing techniques and all materials are provided.
- We will also learn about fast fashion, sustainable practices and upcycling old clothes.
Bookings:
- Bookings are recommended to save your place in the program.
- Please cancel your booking if you are no longer able to attend so we can contact our waitlist. Bookings close one day prior to the session.

Torquay Library
Located in Torquay’s Surf City Plaza, adjacent to the Surf World Museum and Community Hall, Torquay Library is a popular community gathering space, particularly for families and holidaymakers. The branch features zones for reading, studying and working, a dedicated area for children, public access PCs and free WiFi. Regular Baby, Toddler and Preschool Story Time sessions are held here, and many events and programs for adults are also run throughout the year.
