Join us for 'Code club' and stretch your coding muscles with advanced projects in Scratch 2 and 3. Bookings recommended. Recommended ages 8-15.
What to expect:
- This is a progressive weekly program facilitated by a library staff member with a maximum of 6 participants.
- Devices are provided.
- Children will learn and build on their coding abilities using the Scratch platform.
- Children will need a Scratch account. To create an account go to scratch.mit.edu. Please bring along their username and password each week.
Bookings and supervision:
- Bookings are recommended to save your place in the program.
- Please cancel your booking if you are no longer able to attend so we can contact our waitlist.
- Bookings close one day prior to the session.
- Children must be supervised by a responsible person (adult or carer) in our libraries and our programs.

Torquay Library
Located in Torquay’s Surf City Plaza, adjacent to the Surf World Museum and Community Hall, Torquay Library is a popular community gathering space, particularly for families and holidaymakers. The branch features zones for reading, studying and working, a dedicated area for children, public access PCs and free WiFi. Regular Baby, Toddler and Preschool Story Time sessions are held here, and many events and programs for adults are also run throughout the year.
