What to expect
The program is facilitated by a library staff member.
At Biyal-a Armstrong Creek Library the group size can vary between 5 and 20 children, depending on who turns up on the day.
The program is intended for children aged 8-15.
This is a weekly program that provides opportunity for young people to learn the basic rules and strategy of chess and practise playing with others in a friendly and welcoming environment.
Chess boards will be provided, and timers are available if needed. You are welcome to bring along your own chess board and timer.
Bookings and supervision
Children must be supervised by a responsible person (adult or carer) in our libraries and our programs.
Bookings are recommended to save your place in the program
