The Dementia Australia Geelong team will deliver an information session to the Colac community wanting to know more about dementia or understand how to support someone living with dementia.
Dementia Australia support people impacted by dementia to enable them to live as well as possible. Founded by carers more than 35 years ago, today they are the national peak body for people impacted by dementia in Australia.
The Dementia Australia Geelong team will be joining the Colac Library to deliver an information session to the community, suitable for people who are concerned about their memory, wanting to know more about dementia or understand how to support someone living with dementia.
The session will cover signs and symptoms, diagnosis, living with dementia, support and where to find help. We invite you to ask questions and join us for an informal chat with light refreshments afterwards.
The Colac Community Library and Learning Centre is a modern, state-of-the art facility built in 2010 for the Colac district community. The centre accommodates the general community, Colac Secondary College students and other learning groups including TAFE and U3A students.
