Declared by UNESCO in 1999, World Poetry Day is designed to promote the reading, writing, publishing and teaching of poetry throughout the world.
This is Geelong Regional Libraries’ 11th celebration of World Poetry Day, this year recognising the achievements of local poets including John Bartlett, Wendy Fleming, Rosemary Blake, Maria Takolander, Rachel Baxter, Anne Elvey and Louis Glazzard, with MC David McCooey.
Tickets $20 including refreshments, $10 for Geelong Regional Library Corporation Members.
