Following minor renovations, the Geelong West Municipal Library was officially opened in 1953 and in 1967 there was an official opening of additions to the library. On 17 October 2008, the Geelong West Library and customer service centre redevelopment was officially opened by the Hon Richard Wynne MP, Minister for Local Government and Cr Barbara H Abley AM DSJ, City of Greater Geelong.
