It is early 2020, the first wave of COVID has hit and Sean Doherty has just purchased Surfing World Magazine.

Surfing World is not a new magazine, but Sean Doherty is new to it. What made him take this leap into a vulnerable market at such an uncertain time? Has it been successful? What have been the pitfalls and/or successes of his decision?

Located in Torquay’s Surf City Plaza, adjacent to the Surf World Museum and Community Hall, Torquay Library is a popular community gathering space, particularly for families and holidaymakers. The branch features zones for reading, studying and working, a dedicated area for children, public access PCs and free WiFi. Regular Baby, Toddler and Preschool Story Time sessions are held here, and many events and programs for adults are also run throughout the year.
