Have you ever wanted to learn to crochet?
This craft skill has been keeping grannies busy since the 11th century. One thousand years later, crochet has become the thing to do, even before you get into your dotage.
Join us at the Leopold Library for this beginner crochet class. You will learn a basic chain stitch and build on that with a double and treble stitch to make a dishcloth. Finally you will learn how to make the iconic grannie square.
Classes start Thursday 18 April, 3:30pm to 4:30pm. They continue each fortnight until Thursday 27 June - six in total.
Hooks and wool will be supplied.

Leopold Library was opened in 2018 and is situated within the Leopold Community Hub. The branch offers a welcoming and bright space with zones for working, comfortable reading and activities. A dedicated technology makerspace provides opportunities to develop creativity, imagination and problem solving. Public access PCs, free WiFi, a large area for children and young people, coffee machine, meeting room for community hire and comfortable seating are further features of this branch. Regular Baby, Toddler and Preschool Story Time sessions are held here.
