Join other carers in Geelong to connect, knit, crochet, and raise awareness of elder abuse.
Are you a full time carer of a loved one in Geelong? Take an hour for yourself at the Geelong Library & Heritage Centre through the months March, April and May.
Bring your own project or collaborate with other carers to create knitted or crocheted goods to contribute to the Barwon Urban Knitting Community Project.
All creations will be displayed in an exhibition at the Geelong Library & Heritage Centre throughout the month of June to commemorate World Elder Abuse Awareness Day.
Crafted items will then be donated to Geelong Mums to help supply winter woollies to people in need.
All skill levels welcome, including absolute beginners!
