Do you worry about your housing situation and how you can make ends meet? Then come along to this information session at Corio Library to find out how people aged 50+ can access affordable housing.
This session with the Housing for the Aged Action Group (HAAG) covers current housing trends, risk factors for homelessness, and how HAAG’s services can provide support or link you into relevant services. The session is suitable for people aged 50+, who are on a government pension or low income, and are in private rental or under financial stress with mortgage payments.
The session is also suitable for people interested in entering retirement housing or for people already living in retirement housing. We know that choosing, living in and leaving retirement housing can be difficult. If you are experiencing challenges choosing a retirement housing option, are unsure about a term in your contract, have a fee that seems unfair or excessive, repairs that aren't being addressed, or you are experiencing challenges with management, come along to the session to learn about HAAG's Retirement Housing Advice Service.
