Sometimes a statement from a public figure or organisation doesn’t sound quite right. In this introductory session we’ll learn the skills and techniques to discover the facts and assess the claim ourselves.
This is the last of a series of four workshops; the first is Knowing Your Sources Online, the second is Fact Checking Online Content and the third is AI Images and Deepfakes. These may be attended separately or together.

Newcomb Library is a popular community gathering space and is situated within a busy shopping precinct. The branch features a range of services and facilities including public access PCs, free WiFi, zones for reading, study and working, and a large meeting room available for community hire. Regular Baby, Toddler and Preschool Story Time sessions are held here, and events and lifelong learning programs for adults are run throughout the year.
