Join Vikki Petraitis for a lively in-conversation with author Alli Sinclair, as they delve into the craft of storytelling and the real-life crimes that inspire Vikki’s fiction work. With plenty of behind-the-scenes detail, the two authors will unpack how stories evolve - and discuss why crime, mystery, and human behaviour continue to captivate audiences.
About the author
Vikki Petraitis is the author of 20 books including The Frankston Murders, and the creator of several true crime podcasts series with Casefile Presents that have been downloaded over 10 million times. Her novel The Unbelieved won the Allen & Unwin Crime Fiction Prize and will hit the screens as Dustfall starring Anna Torv on the ABC later this year. The third book in the series is The Reckoning, is out in September.

If you are coming to the library to see Vikki Petraitis and Alli Sinclair in conversation, we encourage you to arrive early and explore the Local Authors Fair which is also happening on Saturday 29 August from 12pm to 3pm.
The fair showcases independent authors and storytellers from across our region in a welcoming and lively atmosphere. Perfect for readers and writers alike, it’s a great opportunity to discover new favourite authors, meet emerging local talent, and hear about the latest book releases from our community.
Entry is free, with light refreshments served from 12pm. There will also be plenty of books available for purchase - with absolutely no obligation to buy. You can register for the Local Authors Fair here.
