Gathering Place (Ground Floor)

Learn how to make your very own keychain using the xTool laser cutter, and be inducted to use the equipment now located at the Geelong Library & Heritage Centre!

Whether you're into tech, or just love learning something new, this session will show you how to turn digital ideas into real-world creations.

When you join this exciting workshop, you will learn how to use laser cutting technology to bring designs to life and take home a creation of your own.

What to expect:

  • You will also have an induction to use the equipment on your own at the library for your future projects!
  • Learn the basics of laser design software and design & create your own functional item using wood
  • No experience needed. Just bring your creativity!
  • Materials provided.

Requirements for induction:

  • Must be 18 years or older to be inducted to use the laser cutter
  • Must be a member of the Geelong Regional Libraries

Bookings:

  • Bookings are essential to save your place in the program.
  • Please cancel your booking if you are no longer able to attend so we can contact our waitlist. Bookings close one day prior to the session.
