Spoken Word poetry night with Geelong's lowercase poetry invites those new and familiar to poetry to share their craft with an audience of like-minded people.
*NEW DATE*
The lowercase crew of Annie Mullen-Walsh, Joshua Maxwell De Hoog and Yasmin Mobayad are excited to be bringing what they do to the Geelong Library & Heritage Centre space! lowercase have been running fun poetry events and workshops around Geelong for over 5 years.
lowercase poetry events offer a safe and supportive platform for all poets; from the novice to the published, in which they are encouraged to share their work and connect with other creatives.
The event will include an open mic session with a short break half way through. One drink per person and cheese platters will be served during the break, with non-alcoholic options also available.
Poets can bring any original pieces they wish to share, but the encouraged theme for this event is 'Resurgence'.
All are welcome, whether they come to share their work or just to listen.
Please note, all attendees of meetings, discussions and events held by Geelong Regional Libraries must check-in and show a valid COVID-19 vaccination certificate or a valid medical exemption upon entry. We will be unable to allow entry to patrons who cannot provide valid documentation. Thanks for doing your bit to keep our community safe.
