After Covid cancellations in 2020 and 2021, we are very pleased to be offering World Poetry Day 2022!
Declared by UNESCO in 1999, World Poetry Day is designed to promote the reading, writing, publishing and teaching of poetry throughout the world. This is Geelong Regional Libraries’ 10th year of celebrating World Poetry Day, this year recognising the achievements of local poets including David McCooey, Jo Langdon, Cameron Lowe, Maria Takolander and Melbourne poet, Rose Lucas. The event will feature introductions by local poet and author of three novels, John Bartlett.
Tickets $20 including refreshments, $10 for Geelong Regional Library Corporation Members.
