We paused. Took a moment. A world-wide “…Ummm”.  Now, the slam storm returns.
In 2023, flex vocal chords with a new voice. Run with new leaders. Turn your moments of “…um” into MomentUm. Write new poetic revolutions. You’ve got two minutes on the mic. Build your MomentUm to crescendo and be heard.

Poetry Slams and workshops are popping up around the nation. From June to October, 1000 writers will grab their moment in the spotlight leading to one National Final at Sydney Opera House and a prize worth $20,000, including publishing opportunities and gigs from Byron to Bali and beyond.

Two poets chosen by the Geelong audience will head to the Victorian Final!

Please note, poet registration is from 5.30pm onwards, and the event will run from 6:00-8:00pm. Registration is only available on-site prior to the event.
